     Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 7th Bt. was born posthumously on 21 March 1793 at Kinsale, IrelandG.1,2 He was the son of Andrew Agnew and Hon. Martha de Courcy.1 He married Madeline Carnegie, daughter of Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt. and Agnes Murray Elliot, on 11 June 1816 at Leswalt, Wigtownshire, ScotlandG.1,3 He died on 28 April 1849 at age 56 at Rutland Square, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, from scarlet fever.4,2,5
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Agnew, of Lochnaw, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1629] on 28 June 1809.1 He was educated at University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant in 1828.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigtownshire between 1830 and 1837.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.6

     Madeline Carnegie was born on 8 January 1796 at Kinnaird, Stirlingshire, ScotlandG.1,2 She was the daughter of Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt. and Agnes Murray Elliot.1 She married Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 7th Bt., son of Andrew Agnew and Hon. Martha de Courcy, on 11 June 1816 at Leswalt, Wigtownshire, ScotlandG.1,2 She died on 21 June 1858 at age 62 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3,4
     From 11 June 1816, her married name became Agnew.1

Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt.1

     Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt. was born on 22 November 1753.2 He was the son of Sir James Carnegie of Pittarrow, 3rd Bt. and Christian Doig.2 He married Agnes Murray Elliot, daughter of Andrew Elliot and Elizabeth Plumstead, on 30 April 1783.2 He died on 25 May 1805 at age 51 at Gloucester Place, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) in 1806.2
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Carnegie, of Pittarrow, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1663] on 30 April 1765.2 He sold estate of Pittarrow in 1767 to George Carnegie.2 He greatly improved the estate of Kinnaird, building what is now Kinnaird Castle.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montrose Burghs between 1784 and 1790.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Forfarshire between 1796 and 1806.2

     Agnes Murray Elliot was born circa 1764.1 She was the daughter of Andrew Elliot and Elizabeth Plumstead.2,3 She married Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt., son of Sir James Carnegie of Pittarrow, 3rd Bt. and Christian Doig, on 30 April 1783.1 She died on 9 June 1860 at Leamington, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1
     From 30 April 1783, her married name became Carnegie.1

     Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 8th Bt. was born on 2 January 1818 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 7th Bt. and Madeline Carnegie.1 He married Lady Mary Arabella Louisa Noel, daughter of Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough and Arabella Hamlyn-Williams, on 20 August 1846.1 He died on 25 March 1892 at age 74 at Lochnaw Castle, Wigtownshire, ScotlandG.1
     He was educated between 1831 and 1834 at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1,2 He was commissioned on 17 April 1835 with the rank of Ensign, in the service of the 93rd Foot.1,2 He fought in the rebellion in Canada in 1838.1 He gained the rank of Captain on 18 May 1841.2 He gained the rank of Captain on 8 July 1842 in the 4th Light Dragoons.1,2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wigtownshire in 1843.3 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Agnew, of Lochnaw, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1629] on 28 April 1849.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Wigtownshire in 1852.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigtownshire between 1856 and 1868.1 He wrote the book The Agnews of Lochnaw, published 1864.2

     Sir Andrew Noel Agnew of Lochnaw, 9th Bt. was born on 14 August 1850 at Exton Park, Rutland, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 8th Bt. and Lady Mary Arabella Louisa Noel.1 He married Gertrude Vernon, daughter of Hon. Gowran Charles Vernon and Caroline Fazakerley, on 15 October 1889 at St. Peter's, Eaton Square, Pimlico, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 14 July 1928 at age 77.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1871 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1874 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Agnew, of Lochnaw, co.      Hon. Gowran Charles Vernon was born on 9 November 1825.2 He was the son of Robert Vernon, 1st Baron Lyvedon of Lyvedon and Emma Mary Fitzpatrick.1,3 He married Caroline Fazakerley, daughter of John Nicholas Fazakerley, on 4 August 1857.2 He died on 15 January 1872 at age 46.2
     He was a practising barrister.2 He held the office of Recorder of Lincoln.2

     Robert Vernon, 1st Baron Lyvedon of Lyvedon was born on 23 February 1800.1 He was the son of Robert Percy Smith and Caroline Maria Vernon.2 He married Emma Mary Fitzpatrick, daughter of John FitzPatrick, 2nd Earl of Upper Ossory and Elizabeth Wilson, on 15 July 1823.3 He died on 10 November 1873 at age 73.3
     He was also known as Robert Smith.3 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Tralee between 1829 and 1831.3 He held the office of a Lord of Treasury between 1830 and 1834.3 He held the office of Metropolitan Commissioner of Lunacy between 1830 and 1845.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) Caroline Fazakerley1

     Caroline Fazakerley was the daughter of John Nicholas Fazakerley.1 She married Hon. Gowran Charles Vernon, son of Robert Vernon, 1st Baron Lyvedon of Lyvedon and Emma Mary Fitzpatrick, on 4 August 1857.2 She died on 16 October 1884.2
     She was also known as Caroline Fazakerly.2 From 4 August 1857, her married name became Vernon.
