Alexander Gordon, 8th of Abergeldie was the son of Alexander Gordon, 7th of Abergeldie and Katharine Nicolson.1 He married Euphemia Graham, daughter of Robert Graham.1 He died on 13 June 1692.1
In 1689 Abergeldie was under occupation by Maj.-Gen. Hugh Mackay, commander of forces loyal to King William III who were defeated by the Jacobites under 'Bonnie' Dundee at Killiecrankie.1

John Gordon, 9th of Abergeldie was the son of Alexander Gordon, 8th of Abergeldie and Euphemia Graham.1 A contract for the marriage of John Gordon, 9th of Abergeldie and Elizabeth Rose was signed on 11 December 1694.1 He died in 1698, without issue.1

Hugh Rose, 14th of Kilravock was the son of Hugh Rose, 13th of Kilravock and Margaret Mowat.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Innes, daughter of Sir Robert Innes of that Ilk, 2nd Bt..2 He married, secondly, Marie Forbes, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Alexander Forbes, 10th Lord Forbes and Elizabeth Forbes, on 30 January 1679.2 He died in 1687.2
On 29 October 1662 as a minor he had to wait until after the Restoration to be infeft in the Barony.2 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court between 1672 and 1677.2
