Thomas FitzMaurice, 16th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw was born in 1574.1 He was the son of Patrick FitzMaurice, 15th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Jane Roche.1 He married, firstly, Lady Honor O'Brien, daughter of Conor O'Brien, 2nd Earl of Thomond and Una O'Brien, circa 1594.2 He married, secondly, Gille Power, daughter of Richard Power, 4th Baron le Power and Coroghmore and Hon. Katherine Barry, in 1615.2 He died on 3 June 1630 at Drogheda, County Louth, IrelandG.2 He was buried at Cashel Cathedral, Cashel, County Tipperary, IrelandG.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his principal creditor on 20 July 1631.2
In 1600 he was in active rebellion against the English.1 He succeeded as the 16th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] on 12 August 1600.1 On 28 October 1603 he was pardoned.2 He was a commissioner in Kerry for raising money for the army in 1627.2 He appears to have always been suspect of treason throughout his life, and was twice imprisoned in the London.2

Walter Bellew, 2nd Baron Bellew of Duleek was the son of John Bellew, 1st Baron Bellew of Duleek and Mary Bermingham.1 He married Frances Arabella Wentworth, daughter of Sir William Wentworth and Isabella Apsley, in September 1686.1 He died in 1694, from his wounds, without male issue.1
He was commander of the troop of horse in Tyrconnel's Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691, where he was severely wounded and taken prisoner.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Bellew of Duleek [I., 1686] on 12 January 1692/93.1
