Sir William Miles Aykroyd, 3rd Bt. was born on 24 August 1923.1 He was the son of Major Sir Alfred Hammond Aykroyd, 2nd Bt. and Sylvia Walker.2 He died on 18 July 2007 at age 83.3
He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1 He was a director of Hardy Amies Ltd. between 1950 and 1969.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Aykroyd, of Lightcliffe, co. Yorks [U.K., 1920] on 29 April 1965.1 He lived in 2003 at Buckland Newton Place, Dorchester, Dorset, EnglandG.1

Major Sir Alfred Hammond Aykroyd, 2nd Bt. was born on 3 June 1894.1 He was the son of Sir William Henry Aykroyd, 1st Bt. and Emma Louisa Hammond.2 He married Sylvia Walker, daughter of Frank Walker, on 12 November 1919.1 He died on 29 April 1965 at age 70.1
He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Field Artillery.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Aykroyd, of Lightcliffe, co.
