     Edward Astley was the son of Thomas Astley and Frances Deane.2 He married Elizabeth Astley, daughter of Jacob Astley, 1st Baron Astley of Reading and Agnes Imple.3 He died on 15 March 1653.1

     From 6 February 1661, her married name became Astley.1

     Sir Philip Wodehouse, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 24 July 1608.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse, 2nd Bt. and Blanche Hunsdon.2,3 He married Lucy Cotton, daughter of Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Howard, on 10 July 1634 at Lambeth, Surrey, EnglandG.2 He died on 6 May 1681 at age 72.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk between 1654 and 1658.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [E., 1611] on 18 March 1658.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thetford in 1660.2

     Lucy Cotton was the daughter of Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Howard.1,2 She married Sir Philip Wodehouse, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse, 2nd Bt. and Blanche Hunsdon, on 10 July 1634 at Lambeth, Surrey, EnglandG.2 She died on 26 June 1684.2
     From 10 July 1634, her married name became Wodehouse.

     Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1594.3 He was the son of Sir Robert Cotton, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Brocas.4 He married, firstly, Margaret Howard, daughter of Lord William Howard and Elizabeth Dacre, before 1620.5,6 He and Alice Constable obtained a marriage license on 17 April 1640.4 He died on 13 May 1662.3 He was buried at Conington, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 25 January 1674/75.6
     He matriculated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 16 April 1613.6 He graduated from Broadgates Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 24 October 1616 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)6 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Marlow from 1624 to 1625.6 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. German's from 1628 to 1629.6 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cotton, of Connington, co. Huntingdon [E., 1611] on 6 May 1631.4 He held the office of Sheriff of Huntingdonshire from 1636 to 1637.6 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdonshire between April 1640 and May 1640.4,6 He lived at Conington, Cambridgeshire, England.7

     Sir Philip Astley, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 July 1667.1 He was the son of Sir Jacob Astley, 1st Bt. and Blanche Wodehouse.1 He was baptised on 30 July 1667 at Melton Constable, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He married Elizabeth Bransby, daughter of Thomas Bransby and Elizabeth (?), on 2 December 1690 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 7 July 1739 at age 71.1 He was buried on 12 August 1739 at Melton Constable, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 4 August 1739.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co. Warwick [E., 1660] on 17 August 1729.1 His last will was dated 19 March 1738. He had other sons, who died without issue.2
