Louis Joseph de Lorraine, 6th Duc de Guise was born on 7 August 1650.2 He was the son of Louis de Lorraine, Duc de Joyeuse and Françoise d'Angoulême. He married Elisabeth Marguerite d'Alençon, daughter of Jean-Baptiste Gaston, Duc d'Orléans and Marguerite de Lorraine, on 15 May 1667 at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Île-de-France, FranceG.2 He died on 30 July 1671 at age 20 at Paris, FranceG.2
