     Katherine Seymour Douglas-Hamilton was born in 1861 at Musoorie, England^G.^1,2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Octavius Douglas-Hamilton and Katherine Augusta Westenra Macleod.¹ She died on 17 April 1944 at Frensham, Surrey, England^G, unmarried.^1,2

     Alexandrina Idonia Charlotte Susan Douglas-Hamilton was born on 31 August 1824 at Blackheath, Kent, England^G.² She was the daughter of Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton and Maria Catherine Hyde.¹ She married Major Robert Peel, son of Edmund Peel and Maria Browne, on 29 March 1851.¹ She died on 27 February 1895 at age 70 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.²
     From 29 March 1851, her married name became Peel.

     Major Robert Peel was born in 1828.² He was the son of Edmund Peel and Maria Browne.² He married Alexandrina Idonia Charlotte Susan Douglas-Hamilton, daughter of Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton and Maria Catherine Hyde, on 29 March 1851.¹ He died in 1912.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the 13th Light Infantry.¹

     Lucretia Charlotte Susanna Douglas-Hamilton was born on 31 July 1783.² She was the daughter of Admiral Charles Powell Hamilton and Lucretia Prosser.¹ She married Captain Stephen Briggs, son of Dr. John Briggs and Martha Pybus, on 3 September 1828 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,3 She died on 24 January 1848 at age 64 at Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England^G.²
     From 3 September 1828, her married name became Briggs.¹

     Captain Stephen Briggs was born on 18 January 1787 at India.² He was the son of Dr. John Briggs and Martha Pybus.² He married Lucretia Charlotte Susanna Douglas-Hamilton, daughter of Admiral Charles Powell Hamilton and Lucretia Prosser, on 3 September 1828 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 He died on 26 August 1850 at age 63 at Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Hamilton was born in 1700.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gerard.¹ She died on 2 April 1702.¹

     Charles Edwin married Lady Charlotte Hamilton, daughter of Lt.-Gen. James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gerard, on 1 May 1736.¹ He died on 29 June 1750.¹
