     He was a member of the House of Habsburg.4 He gained the title of Erzherzog von Österreich. He succeeded as the Emperor Karl VI of the Holy Roman Empire in 1711.3

     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)3 He gained the rank of officer in the Austrian Imperial Guard.3 He was created Prince Tassilo of Hungary on 21 June 1911.3
