     Louisa Wedderburn is the daughter of James Wedderburn-Colvile and Isabella Blackburn.¹

     Commander Hon. Dunbar Douglas was born on 9 July 1766.¹ He was the son of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton.¹ He died on 29 October 1796 at age 30 at St. Christopher^G from yellow fever, on board ship.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Captain Hon. Alexander Douglas was born on 12 December 1767.¹ He was the son of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton.¹ He died on 24 June 1794 at age 26 at Guadeloupe^G, from yellow fever.¹ He was also reported to have died on 7 June 1794 at Guadeloupe^G.²
     He gained the rank of Captain on 8 July 1791 in the 38th Foot.¹

     Hon. David Douglas was born on 5 September 1769.¹ Hewas also reported to have been born on 8 September 1768.² He was the son of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton.¹ He died on 7 May 1770.¹

     Dunbar James Douglas, 6th Earl of Selkirk was born on 22 April 1809 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk and Joan Wedderburn.¹ He married Cecily Louisa Grey-Egerton, daughter of Sir Philip de Malpas Grey-Egerton, 10th Bt. and Anna Elizabeth Legh, on 29 June 1878 at Littel Budworth, Chester, England^G.¹ He died on 11 April 1885 at age 75 at St. Mary's Isle, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was buried at Galloway, Scotland^G.¹
     He was styled as Lord Daer between 1809 and 1820.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Selkirk [S., 1646] on 8 April 1820.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Lord Daer and Shortcleuch [S., 1646] on 8 April 1820.¹ He was educated between 1823 and 1828 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 17 October 1827.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1830 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and First Class Math.¹ He held the office of Representative Peer (Conservative) [Scotland] between 1830 and 1885.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 13 January 1831.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1834 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright between 1844 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Keeper of the Great Seal [Scotland] between August 1852 and December 1852.¹ He held the office of Keeper of the Great Seal [Scotland] from 1858 to 1859.¹
     On his death, the Earldom of Slekirk devolved on the 12th Duke of Hamilton, and the Lordship of Daer and Shortcleuch became dormant.

     Cecily Louisa Grey-Egerton was the daughter of Sir Philip de Malpas Grey-Egerton, 10th Bt. and Anna Elizabeth Legh.¹ She married Dunbar James Douglas, 6th Earl of Selkirk, son of Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk and Joan Wedderburn, on 29 June 1878 at Littel Budworth, Chester, England^G.¹ She died on 10 January 1920 at Balmac, Scotland^G.¹
     After her marriage, Cecily Louisa Grey-Egerton was styled as Countess of Selkirk on 29 June 1878. From 29 June 1878, her married name became Douglas.

     Sir Philip de Malpas Grey-Egerton, 10th Bt. was born on 13 November 1806.² He was the son of Rev. Sir Philip Grey-Egerton, 9th Bt. and Rebecca du Pré.³ He married Anna Elizabeth Legh, daughter of George John Legh and Mary Blackburne, on 8 March 1832.³ He died on 5 April 1881 at age 74.²
     He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Egerton, of Egerton and Oulton, co. Chester [E., 1617] on 13 December 1829.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chester and Cheshire.² He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)²

     Anna Elizabeth Legh was born on 28 December 1808.² She was the daughter of George John Legh and Mary Blackburne.^3,2 She married Sir Philip de Malpas Grey-Egerton, 10th Bt., son of Rev. Sir Philip Grey-Egerton, 9th Bt. and Rebecca du Pré, on 8 March 1832.² She died on 26 November 1882 at age 73.¹
     From 8 March 1832, her married name became Grey-Egerton.

     George John Legh was born on 26 May 1769.¹ He was the son of Henry Cornwall Legh and Elizabeth Hopkinson.² He married Mary Blackburne, daughter of John Blackburne and Anne Rodbard, on 14 July 1803.¹ He died on 17 March 1832 at age 62.¹
     He was also known as John Legh.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1805.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cheshire.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He lived at High Legh, Cheshire, England^G.¹
