Sir George Tapps Gervis Meyrick, 3rd Bt. was born on 1 September 1827 at Dover, Kent, England.2 He was the son of Sir George William Tapps Gervis, 2nd Bt. and Clara Fuller.3 He married Fanny Harland, daughter of Christopher Harland, on 4 December 1849.4 He died on 7 March 1896 at age 68.2 He was also reported to have died on 7 April 1896.4
He was given the name of George Eliott Meyrick Tapps Gervis at birth.4 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Tapps, of Hinton Admiral, co. Southampton [G.B., 1791] on 26 August 1842.1 On 16 March 1876 his name was legally changed to George Eliott Meyrick Tapps Gervis Meyrick.4 In 1878 High Sheriff Anglesey.4
