     Elise Shrehlow was born on 5 June 1862.1 She married Karl Prinz von Ardeck, son of Wilhelm Prinz von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and Marie Prinzessin von Hanau und Horowitz, on 16 April 1891 at Liège, BelgiumG.1 She died on 26 November 1938 at age 76 at Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.1
     Her married name became von Ardeck.

     He succeeded as the Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel in 1670.4

     Louisa Mercer Call was the daughter of Sir William Pratt Call, 2nd Bt. and Lady Louisa Georgiana Forbes.1 She married Rev. Hon. William Henry Spencer, son of Francis Almeric Spencer, 1st Baron Churchill of Whichwood and Lady Frances FitzRoy, on 15 June 1852.1 She died on 31 August 1892.1
     From 15 June 1852, her married name became Spencer.

     Philip I Landgraf von Hessen was born on 13 November 1504 at Marburg, Hessen, GermanyG.2 He was the son of Wilhelm II Landgraf von Hessen and Anne von Mecklenburg.3 He married, firstly, Christina von Sachsen, daughter of Georg Herzog von Sachsen and Barbara Jagiellon, on 11 December 1523 at Dresden, Sachsen, GermanyG.2 He married, secondly, Margarete von der Saale, daughter of Hans von der Saale, in 1540.4 He died on 31 March 1567 at age 62 at Kassel, Hessen, GermanyG.1,2
     Philip I Landgraf von Hessen also went by the nick-name of Philip 'the Magnanimous'.3 He gained the title of Landgraf von Hessen in 1509.5 In 1529 he signed teh 'Protest' presented by the reforming states of the Holy Roman Empire against an edict of the Diet of Spier that the religious status quo was to be rpeserved.4 He was founder of the League of Protestant princes.4

     Philip Landgraf von Hessen-Philippsthal was born on 14 December 1655. He was the son of Wilhelm VI Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel.2 He married Katherine Amalia zu Solms-Laubach, daughter of Karl Otto graf zu Solms-Laubach and Amoena Elisabeth von Bentheim-Tecklenburg, on 16 April 1680. He died on 18 June 1721 at age 65.
     He gained the title of Landgraf von Hessen-Philippsthal.2

     Jane Skene was the daughter of James Henry Skene and Rhalou Rhangabé.1,2 She married Reverend Lloyd Stewart Bruce, son of Sir James Robertson Bruce, 2nd Bt. and Ellen Hesketh, on 6 October 1863.3 She died on 30 September 1880.3
