John de Hastings, 2nd Earl of Pembroke was born on 29 August 1347 at Sutton Valence, Kent, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Laurence de Hastings, 1st Earl of Pembroke and Lady Agnes de Mortimer.1 He married, firstly, Margaret of England, daughter of Edward III, King of England and Philippe d'Avesnes, on 19 May 1359 at Reading, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He married, secondly, Anne de Mauny, daughter of Walter de Mauny, 1st Lord Mauny and Margaret Marshall of Brotherton, Duchess of Norfolk, circa July 1368.2 He died on 16 April 1375 at age 27 at Picardie, FranceG.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Pembroke [E., 1339] on 30 August 1348.4 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Hastings [E., 1295] on 30 August 1348.2 He succeeded as the Lord Abergavenny [Feudal] on 30 August 1348.1 He was appointed Knight in 1369.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1370.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1372 in the English army at Aquitaine.2 He fought in the Battle of La Rochelle in 1372, a sea battle against the French. Elizabeth Mountagu was born after 1343.2 She was the daughter of Sir Edward Mountagu, Lord Mountagu and Joan (?)3,4 A contract for the marriage of Elizabeth Mountagu and Sir John de Brewose was signed on 15 January 1360/61.5 She died on 29 November 1361.2
She was also known as Elizabeth de Montacute.3 From 15 January 1360/61, her married name became de Brewose.5

William d'Ufford, 2nd Earl of Suffolk was born circa 1339.1 He was the son of Robert d'Ufford, 1st Earl of Suffolk. He married, firstly, Joan de Montacute, daughter of Sir Edward Mountagu, Lord Mountagu and Alice of Norfolk.1 He married, secondly, Isabel de Beauchamp, daughter of Thomas de Beauchamp, 11th Earl of Warwick and Katherine Mortimer, before 12 June 1376.2 He died on 15 February 1381/82, without surviving issue.2
He gained the title of 2nd Earl of Suffolk.1
