Maldred, Lord of Allerdale1

     Maldred, Lord of Allerdale was born circa 1015 at Dunbar, East Lothian, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of Crínáin of Dunkeld, Mormaer of Atholl and Bethoc of Alba.3 He married Ealdgyth (?), daughter of Uhtred, Earl of Northumberland and Ælfgifu (?), circa 1036.2 He died in 1045, killed in action, while attempting to avenge the murder of his brother by Macbeth.3
     He gained the title of Lord of Allerdale [feudal barony].4 He held the office of Regent of the Kingdom of Strathclyde between 1034 and 1045.3

     Ulfcytel Snylling, Ealdorman of East Anglia married Wulfhild (?), daughter of Æthelred II 'the Unready', King of England and Ælgifu (?).1 He died in 1016.1
     He gained the title of Ealdorman of East Anglia.1

     Drogo, Comte de Mantes et la Vexin was the son of Walter II, Comte de Vexin, Valois et d'Amiens and Adela (?)2 He married Godgifu (?), daughter of Æthelred II 'the Unready', King of England and Emma de Normandie.1 He died in 1035, on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.3
     He gained the title of Comte de la Vexin. He gained the title of Comte de Mantes.1

Ralph, Earl of Hereford1

     Ralph, Earl of Hereford was the son of Drogo, Comte de Mantes et la Vexin and Godgifu (?)1 He married Gytha (?)1 He died on 21 December 1057.2
     He held Sudeley and Toddington, Gloucestershire, and Chilvers Cotton, Warwickshire.2 He was described by contemporaries as Comes (possibly a courtier of comital rank but without a territorial earldom.)2 Circa 1050 he was employed at a high level against a Welsh incursion into England and revolts by various earls throughout the 1050s, although on one occasion he and his soldiers ran away before the fighting began.2
