Lady Charlotte Florentia Clive was born on 12 September 1787. She was the daughter of Edward Clive, 1st Earl of Powis and Lady Henrietta Antonia Herbert.1 She married Hugh Percy, 3rd Duke of Northumberland, son of General Hugh Percy, 2nd Duke of Northumberland and Frances Julia Burrell, on 29 April 1817.1 She died on 27 July 1866 at age 78 at Mount Lebanon, Twickenham, London, EnglandG, without issue.1
From 29 April 1817, her married name became Percy. After her marriage, Lady Charlotte Florentia Clive was styled as Duchess of Northumberland on 10 July 1817.

Lt.-Gen. James Murray, 1st Baron Glenlyon was born on 29 May 1782 at Dunkeld, Perthshire, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of John Murray, 4th Duke of Atholl and Hon. Jane Cathcart.1 He married Lady Emily Frances Percy, daughter of General Hugh Percy, 2nd Duke of Northumberland and Frances Julia Burrell, on 19 May 1810 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 12 October 1837 at age 55 at Fenton's Hotel, St. James's Street, London, EnglandG.2 He was buried on 30 October 1837 at Dunkeld, Perthshire, ScotlandG.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered in February 1842.2
