Elizabeth de Clare

     Elizabeth de Clare was born on 16 September 1295.3 She was the daughter of Gilbert de Clare, 6th Earl of Gloucester and Hertford and Joan of Acre.4,1 She married, firstly, John de Burgh, son of Richard de Burgh, 2nd Earl of Ulster and Margaret de Guînes, on 30 September 1308 at Waltham Abbey, Essex, EnglandG.1 She married, secondly, Sir Theobald de Verdun, 2nd Lord Verdun, son of Theobald de Verdun, 1st Lord Verdun and Margery de Bohun, on 4 February 1315/16.5 She married, thirdly, Roger d'Amorie, 1st Lord d'Amorie, son of Gilbert d'Amorie, in 1317.6 She died on 4 November 1360 at age 65.1 Her will was proven (by probate) on 3 December 1360.4
     She succeeded as the 11th Lady of Clare [feudal baron] on 24 June 1314.4 Her last will was dated 25 September 1355.

     Thomas Bisset , Earl of Fife married Elizabeth MacDuff, Countess of Fife, daughter of Duncan MacDuff, 8th Earl of Fife and Mary de Monthermer, between 10 January 1363 and 8 June 1363.1 He died in 1365.1
     After his marriage, Thomas Bisset , Earl of Fife was styled as Earl of Fife.1

     Thomas de Monthermer, 2nd Baron Monthermer was born in 1301.1 He was the son of Ralph de Monthermer, Earl of Gloucester and Joan of Acre.2 He married Margaret Teyes.1 He died in 1340, from wounds received in action.1
     He gained the title of 2nd Baron Monthermer.1 He fought in the Battle of Sluys in 1340.1

     Jeanne d'Aumale, Comtesse de Ponthieu was the daughter of Simon de Dammartin, Comte de Ponthieu et Aumale and Marie de Ponthieu.2 She married Fernando III, Rey de Castilla y León, son of Alfonso IX, Rey de Castilla y León and Berengaria de Castilla, in 1237.3 She died on 16 March 1279.
     She gained the title of Comtesse de Ponthieu.
