     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) John Russell, 4th Duke of Bedford and Lady Gertrude Leveson-Gower, on 23 August 1762 at Bedford House, Bloomsbury, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 29 January 1817 at age 78 at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1,3 He was buried on 7 February 1817 at Chapel, Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 12 June 1817.1
