Lucretius (Titus Lucretius Carus) (ca. 95-ca. 55 BC)
    

Roman philosopher and poet who was an ardent follower of Epicurus. His book De Natura Rerum (On the Nature of Things) transmitted the views of Democritus, holding that all things were composed of atoms.
