Other Information | Stagecoach`s operations in South Lancashire can be traced back to Ribble Motor Services which was purchased by Stagecoach in 1988 and traded as Stagecoach Ribble until 1997. Stagecoach Merseyside has its roots in the takeover of Glenvale Transport in 2005. In 2011 following a reorganisation of operations in northwest England, the operation became Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire. The other part of the operation is known as Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire. In 2013 Stagecoach took over First Chester & The Wirral operations and this was incorporated into Stagecoach Merseyside, which had its roots in Crosville Motor Services and the municipal operator ChesterBus.
