Other Information | Stagecoach Manchester was set up in 1993, at the time it was a subsidiary of Stagecoach Ribble. They spent a couple of years competing against GM Buses South, who they finally took over in February 1996. The operations set up in 1993 were sold to Finglands at the same time. In 2008 Stagecoach took over A Mayne & Son and later in the year also the bus operations Bullocks. In December 2012 Stagecoach took over the Wigan depot of First Manchester and this was incorporated into the Stagecoach Manchester operation, bringing 120 extra buses into the fleet. The takeovers continued with Bluebird of Middleton in 2013 and JPT in 2014. Depots: - Ashton-under-Lyne - Ardwick (Manchester) - Sharston (Manchester) - Middleton - Stockport - Wigan |
