The end of bus production in Čáslav
On the basis of the success of the production of the OASA 901 bus the unhappy decision was taken in Čáslav to produce a new luxury coach to replace the 901.
The original OASA 903 had a totally new body installed on a MAN 16.360 HOCL chassis. The vehicle was very interesting. In 1992 three models were made and a year later a further seven, after which production ended through lack of interest on the part of transport companies. The lack of interest was caused by the higher price of the bus and the import of cheaper second-hand foreign buses. Čáslav wanted to save the situation by returning to a domestic chasses and engine and thus the OASA 901.10 came into being using a slightly modified body from the OASA 903.
The 12-metre bus seating 49 passengers was cheaper since most of the parts were produced in this country (the Liaz M 640 S engine, the Praga 8 PS 120 gearbox etc.), but it was too late to save the production of inter-city coaches in Čáslav. In 1994 two of the original OASA 901 buses were produced and one OASA 901.10. This was the only example of this model manufactured and the last bus to be produced in Čáslav.
