11 may 2007 - Linz, Austria – Postlingbergbahn. The Postlingbergbahn is a separate, metre-gauge line to the top of a hill. The maximum gradient is a crazy 12%, operated as a normal tramway without rack or cable – just special brakes to control the descent. Here, you can see the huge gradient as a tram approaches a road crossing.

Wait and see when they try to operate the line with 900mm gauge low-floor cars! This should be interesting.......:-)
