Mental health is a major public health issues and affects countless individuals. Lack of physical activity is a known modifiable risk factor with greater amounts of sedentary time associated with poor mental health. Physical activity affects mental health positively by releasing feel good chemicals, reducing stress and anxiety, improves sleep, boosts self esteem, enhances cognitive function, promotes social interaction and creates routine and structure.
Programme details: This 10-week exercise intervention not only aims to increase your physical activity and fitness levels but also help improve your mental wellness. After completing the gold-standard DXA bone density scan, you will be guided into a 10-week training intervention by CSE Exercise Specialists. Training will be conducted using various monitoring system to ensure effective workouts to help improve bone density, muscle mass and fat mass and cardio fitness level.
Programme includes: Initial assessment will be arranged individually from the 23rd of December 2024 - 10th of January 2025.
Testing: 1) Body composition – DXA Whole Body Scan to measure muscle mass, fat mass and fat percentage 2) Blood Pressure
Discussion and introduction to training, explanation of DXA result.
Training sessions will be held every Wednesday from the 15th of January - 26th of March 2025 (10-weeks). No training session on the 29th of January due to the CNY holiday.**
There is one scheduled session that you can choose to come to.
