Lovely specimen featuring an Aquamarine crystal with a Morganite crystal on Albite matrix from California!
I rarely see specimens of this calibre from California, much less the Oceanview Mine! This fine specimen was
actually pictured in Rocks and Minerals Magazine in their Oceanview Mine issue from July/August 2008. The
photograph from that issue is shown above. The 3.4 cm Aquamarine is the larger of the two crystals and it exhibits
a perfect form with a light blue coloration and just a hint of pink near the bottom. The Morganite is also pristine
with a beautiful blushed pink coloration. Both crystals are glassy-lustrous and sit side by side atop the Albite
matrix. Another Aquamarine crystal, smaller in size, is located along the far back edge. In excellent condition.
Locality: 49er Pocket, Oceanview Mine, Chief Mountain, Pala, Pala District, San Diego County, California.
Measures: 10.5 cm by 8 cm by 6.4 cm in total size.
Featured in Rocks and Minerals Magazine in their Oceanview Mine issue of July/August 2008

Beautiful blue crystals of Chrysocolla over Malachite ps after Azurite crystals!
These unique specimens came to market recently and I cherry-picked for the most aesthetic
clusters. This one is really aesthetic because of the artistic display of the crystal covered pseudos
spraying outwards along the top of the specimen. Very dramatic appearance and in excellent condition!
Locality: Luputo, Kakumba, Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo.

Gemmy ruby-red crystals of Proustite perched atop Acanthite with Calcite atop Siderite matrix!
This is an eye catcher of a specimen from the classic German locality. The Proustite crystals are
super red and gem. They sit atop a concave vug which is lined by gray Acanthite crystals. On the
peripheries are small white Calcites and the entire matrix appears to be coated by tan Siderite.

Spectacular Native Silver wires and Acanthite atop matrix with Calcite crystals!
Probably the finest specimen I've ever seen or offered from the Highland Bell Mine in British Columbia,
Canada. The asethetics are off the chart and the association of white Calcite crystals, perched atop and
penetrated by wires of Native Silver as they are suspended in the air along the upper left edge reminds
one of a Kongsberg Silver specimen. Dark gray Acanthite crystals are nestled between the numerous
wires and the entire specimen displays a beautiful golden patina. Stepping back, it becomes obvious that
this specimen is part of a Calcite seam which opened up and provided space for the Native Silver wires
and Acanthites to develop. This would make a fine addition to any Canadian or Silver specimen cabinet.

Locality: Highland Bell Mine, Beaverdell, Greenwood Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada.
Measures: 6.5 cm by 6.6 cm by 3.7 cm in total size.

and wind their way upwards above the yellow Stellerite covered matrix. In great shape with no detractions.

VERY rich specimen of Native Silver leaves with Acanthite in and on white Quartz matrix!
This is a heavy cabinet sized specimen that is loaded with Native Silver. The Silver appears in a mosaic-style pattern
in the stark white Quartz matrix. The leaf structure is probably the result of the host matrix and most are quite angular in
appearance. This locality was mined 1905-1971 and produced about 7,000,000 ounces of Silver. A great looking, historic Silver!
From the Penn Canadian Mine (Glen Lake Mine), Cobalt area, Cobalt-Gowganda region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada.

Extremely rare specimen of Phosphophyllite crystals on matrix from Germany!
This is an incredibly rare cluster of greenish-blue Phosphophyllites from the Type Locality at the Hagendorf North Pegmatite in Bavaria, Germany.
The lustrous and gemmy crystals are well-formed, measuring to .9 cm in size, and are nestled in a Mica and Quartz matrix. Phosphophyllite was
discovered in 1920, and this piece most certainly dates back to the early 1900's. Although not one of the famous Bolivian specimens, this is an
very important and classic specimen from the actual Type Locality! This is a rare opportunity for collectors. The Hagendorf Quarry closed in 1937.
From the Hagendorf North Pegmatite, Waidhaus, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany.
Measures 4.2 cm by 3.8 cm by 2.2 cm in total size.

VERY RARE! An amazing old classic from Arizona featuring lustrous crystals of Native Silver on both sides!
This is a very rare specimen of crystalline Native Silver and Silver leaf on a matrix richly impregnated with Silver. Circa 1880's, it's from the famous
Silver King Mine in Arizona. The Silver has incredible luster, both bright and with excellent patina. The Silver King Mine was discovered in 1873
and was depleted by 1888. This small cab also has an equally rich history, having been in both the Gathenye and Schwethelm collections previously.
This is a fine piece for an Arizona and or Silver mineral collection. Specimens from this locality rarely become available so opportunity knock here!

From the
Silver King Mine, Comstock Wash, Pinal Mts, Pinal County, Arizona.
Measures 6.8 cm by 5.7 cm by 2.3 cm in total size.

Satiny lustrous cluster of coated Calcite crystals!
The Calcites are pointed and display very sharp, angular edges. I thought the specimen might be a cast when I first saw
it but it is solid on the bottom with a white base. This indicates that the very angular Calcite crystals are actually bright
white beneath the golden-tan druse Calcite coating seen on the exterior. In excellent shape with full, complete terminations.
From the Droujba Mine (Drujba), Djurkovo Complex, Laki (Luki), Laki Obshtina, Rhodope Mts, Plovdiv Oblast, Bulgaria.

Amazing specimen featuring Native Copper pseudomorphing and replacing an old piece of mining timber!
This is the most impressive Copper replacing of wood that I've ever seen. At 20 cm in total length, it's also
the largest piece of  Copper replaced wood that I've ever offered on the website. This specimen is heavily
pseudomorphed down it's entire length as is quite obvious from the front and back pictures above. Some of
the original wood is still hanging on, giving the specimen further stability but this is one fine looking pseudo.

Great looking specimen of Galena cubes stacked atop Dolomite covered matrix with Calcite crystals!
One of my favorite specimens from Tucson, this cabinet display piece features three large mirror-bright
Galena cubes perched atop one another. The largest of these measures 6.5 cm across the corners. At the
top are a couple of frosted Calcite crystals and along the base and bottom side are numerous golden Calcites.
The Galenas are complete with a stepped back side formation. In wonderful condition with loads of eye appeal.

Impressive specimen featuring stacked crystal cubes of Halite from Poland!
I love these classic Halite specimens and this is the largest stacked cube pillar that I've seen in a long
time. The bottom cubes are colored brown by Hematite coating and as you move up the pillar towards
the top, the Halite cubes become clearer and translucent. You can still see the Hematite inclusions but they
become more of an internal phantom near the top. Lustrous and glassy, the crystal surfaces are all pristine.

Rare specimen of Quartz var. Amethyst crystals from Australia!
Rarely do I encounted a specimen of Amethyst from Australia and this specimen is a classic
cluster of seven crystals from the famous Wyloo Station locality which is one of the few areas
in Western Australia where Amethyst can be found. This specimen dates back several decades
and displays highly glassy faces and complete tips with barely a contact anywhere. There is some
obvious phantoming just beneath the lustrous surfaces. A lovely specimen that displays very well.

Locality: The Great Australian Amethyst Mine, Wyloo Station, Ashburton Shire, Western Australia, Australia.
Measures: 8.8 cm by 6.7 cm by 4.1 cm in total size.

Sparkling specimen featuring bluish-green Cuprian Adamite crystals on matrix!
This old timer dates back to the 1890's when it was offered by famed dealer George L. English. His original label
is included with the specimen. The specimen is very attractive with little in the way of contacts which is remarkable
considering its age. The crystals are small but their number makes up for this. They cover nearly every part of the
matrix with glassy crystal clusters. In excellent condition, this specimen is a true classic in every sense of the word.

Beautiful crystals of bi-colored Fluorite on matrix!
Vivid purples and greens color these Fluorite cubes which climb atop one another up the matrix. This is a
rare locality I have not previously offered and was one of the best specimens from the small collection. The
largest Fluorite cube measures 3.6 cm in size and all exhibit a strange chatoyance, almost like Labradorite
with a luminescence just beneath the crystal faces. Definately one of the most unusual Fluorites I've seen.

Cobalt rarity! Native Silver wires on Quartz in matrix!
Wires of Native Silver are extremely rare from the Cobalt Region and I've only
seen a handful of specimens in the past decade or two. These wires are popping out
from the Quartz seam that runs between the layers of matrix and wires are visible on
both sides of the specimen. The weight of this piece is quite heavy, indicating a large
amount of Silver in running through the Quartz. There are wires present on both sides.
