MIN#EXCEPTIONAL-182 AVAILABLE!

Exceptional Native Leaf Silver with Safflorite and Skutterudite from the Cobalt Mining District!
This is an amazing Silver - Easily one of the finest Cobalt specimens I've ever seen and I acquired
it for the website the moment it was offered to me. Atop the white matrix you have a beautiful display
of numerous lustrous Native Leaf Silvers, all standing upright, with grayish Safflorite crystal clusters
and Skutterudite nestled between. The leaves average around 2 cm in size and the visual display of
the specimen is very 3-dimensional. In excellent condition and very, very impressive! The Castle Mine
is a Silver Mine just west of Cobalt which has produced since 1917. It produced 6.5 million ounces of
Silver and 300,000 lbs of Cobalt by the end of 1931. The mine opened and closed again in the 1980's.
Mindat.org displays only a handful of photos for the locality with none being as impressive as this one.
From the Castle Mine, Haultain Township, Cobalt-Gowganda Region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada.
Measures 6.1 cm by 6.6 cm by 4.8 cm in total size.

MIN#EXCEPTIONAL-183 AVAILABLE!

Extremely rare specimen featuring iridecent Covellite crystals with Anglesite from Tsumeb!
I can count the number of Tsumeb Covellite specimens I've seen on one hand and this is one
of the most impressive. The crystals are small which is normal for Tsumeb but they are very
iridescent as displayed in the close up photo above. Scattered about the matrix with the fine
Covellites are Anglesite crystals, glassy and mostly transparent. I don't know when I'll come
across another Covellite for this famous locality so this represents a rare opportunity for all
collectors. Mindat.org only has three examples of Covellite out of over 5600 Tsumeb pictures.
From the Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region (Oshikoto), Namibia.
Measures 5.6 cm by 4 cm by 4.4 cm in total size.

DEN2007-408copperqueenazurite.jpg (160922 bytes)

MIN#EXCEPTIONAL-195 SOLD!

Large cabinet sized specimen of very vibrant blue Azurite with Malachite!
This was one of the first mineral specimens in my own personal collection. I sold it years
ago and was very happy to find it again last year. A little bit of trimming and cleaning
and here it is again on the website. I was always impressed with the sparkle and color
of this thick specimen of solid Azurite. I also love the fact that it has its own crystal
filled vugs and seams, showing the geology of the Bisbee locality. It isn't perfect and does
have some scattered contacts and incomplete crystals but I think it's a special piece.
The photo above says it all I think. It just displays beautifully - better than most.
From the Copper Queen Mine, Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona.
Measures 18.4 cm by 16 cm by 15.5 cm in size.

Denver2015-202EpidoteQuartzPrinceofWalesIslandAlaska13cm.jpg (377500 bytes)

MIN#EXCEPTIONAL-197 AVAILABLE!

Exceptional combination specimen featuring dark green Epidote crystals with Quartz on matrix!
This is one of the finest plates of Epidote from the Green Monster that I've seen in years. It's also unusual because it
displays large, terminated Epidote crystals standing upright in isolation among the crystal-clear Quartz points. Usually
these specimens appear as clusters of criss-crossing Epidote crystals so this specimen really stands out. I prefer the
isolated look over the clusters and this specimen is certain to please with it's glassy-lustrous crystals and lack of contacts.
From Green Monster Mountain, Prince of Wales Island, Ketchikan Dist., Prince of Wales-Outer Ketchikan Borough, Alaska.
Measures 13 cm by 12.5 cm by 11.8 cm in total size.
