G.f. = (x^4+4*x^3+x^2+4*x+1)/((x^2+1)*(x-1)^2); for n>0, a(2*t)=11*t, a(4*t+1)=22*t+6, a(4*t+3)=22*t+16. These should be easy to prove by the coloring book method (see link).
