Other Site Characteristics

The site holds a dystrophic lake surrounded by well preserved transition mires with representative vegetation types. The mires are surrounded by, partly boggy, coniferous woodland.

4.2 Quality and importance

Well preserved mires with representative vegetation types. The site is included in the National Mire Protection Plan. The marsh gentian (Gentiana pneumonanthe) and the alcon blue (Maculinea alcon) have good populations in the area.
